Surface Preparation
DURA SHADES The surfaces to be treated should be clean, smooth, sound properly prepared, and free of moisture, frost, ice, snow, dirt, debris, contaminants, or other conditions that may impair the application and performance of the UFIX Aqua Bond. Use a suitable degreaser to remove wax, polish, grease, oil and similar contamination substance prior to the plaster application.
Mixing
On permanent type coatings, it is recommended that the surface be abraded with a 800-100-mesh screen back disc. Put down a test patch if there is any question of adhesion. Extremely dense concrete may require etching prior to application. For best results, apply with a lamb’s wool applicator or a low-pressure sprayer (recommended 40 psi) such as a Hudson, airless or power sprayer. Allow 30 minutes to one-hour dry time, depending on conditions, before applying a second coat. A third coat is recommended to ensure protection and higher gloss. The final coat should dry for 6-8 hours before subjecting to heavy traffic In plaster or site concrete admixture use I volume of DURA SHADES aqua crete with 4 volume water and mixed together to use finally as a water mixing and also can be used as concerted admixture without dilution but must be shake the pail before open and use.
Storage
DURA SHADES Aqua Crete can be stored 24 months in the original. packaging in a dry shaded place below 25°C. Health and Safety Use a dust mask and goggles when mixing the powder and gloves when using the adhesive. For further information, see the safety data sheet.
